Connor Spunaugle
Zone 1 Commissioner
History with Legion: I played 4 years of legion baseball in Sedalia (2 at the JR level and 2 at the SR level). During my time spent in Sedalia, I was fortunate enough to be on teams that enjoyed a lot of success at the postseason level, as our 2016 team won the state title and went on to compete in Texarkana for Regionals. This will be my fifth summer coaching the Sedalia Sr Legion Travelers, and the fourth as the Head Coach.
Other Fun Info: My passion for legion baseball started at a young age when my father coached a Sr Legion team out of Benton County. For two summers I was able to travel along with the team as the manager/bat boy. I attended Lincoln High School, which is where I am currently the Business Teacher and coach HS football and baseball. I would like to thank Coach Jim Moran for his many years of service to the American Legion Baseball program. I would also like to thank Coach Jeff Mays, Coach Tanner McKee, and Kent Lang for mentoring me and allowing me the opportunity to coach the Sedalia Travelers. I finally would like to thank my father, Marc Spunaugle, for setting the example on how to lead young men and preparing them for their adult lives through lessons learned in sports. I am extremely honored to be selected as a representative from Zone 2 and I look forward to being a part of the growth and continued success of MO American Legion Baseball.
